About Athens Blue
We are a small team of state-licensed guides, classical and marine archaeologists among us, who would rather show you our city than recite it. Expect real scholarship, and expect to be looked after.
Our story
Athens Blue is Mike’s answer to a question he kept asking as an archaeologist and an Athens native: why do visitors who cross the world for this city get a rushed checklist instead of a story?
So we built the answer. A handful of guides with real academic depth: classical archaeology, marine archaeology, field research across Attica. We run tours the way we would host friends who finally came to visit.

Mike is a state-licensed archaeologist, an Athens native, and the reason Athens Blue exists. He founded it on one conviction: this city deserves unhurried, expert-led storytelling, not checklist tourism. He still leads tours himself, and every route we run carries his standard.
